Kim,
How are things in Bensonhurst?
Buzz and Bella (Catahoulas) continue to do well. They both walk behind or heeled with a slack leash. Bella rarely notices other dogs when on leash anymore. Off leash, I keep her away from the main playgroups. She hunts imaginary game and herds Buzz while he chases the ball. When she meets with other dogs, she is nervous. I recall her to keep these meetings brief and so far the results have been positive.
Thanks again for all the help, and great results!
Sincerely,
Tom Klinger
We love, “Confident K9 Education”. My husband and I decided to randomly purchase our Yorkshire Terrier named, Xion. We went home and were like, WOW!!! After receiving a flyer about dog training from “Confident K9 Education”, we did some research with other local dog trainers and decided instead to call Kimberly the owner of Confident K9 Education to schedule a FREE puppy consultation. We loved the intimate setting of Confident K9 Education. Kim's dog training is mostly one on one and that is what we were looking for. She trains all of her dogs in front of their owners, then trains the owners with their dogs and also teaches them what they should do at home with their new dog during the week.
Kim's work spoke for itself. The images of other trained dogs small through larger breeds made us feel confident with our decision to dog train Xion in her school. This was a God sent! We immediately saw the results we were looking for with Xion. Kim’s technique, detailed explanations... demonstrations as well as guided opportunity to see you work with your dog is all that you will need in your dogs’ training. Our puppy started with just a basic obedience package and we still have him training with Kim in advanced obedience. Our puppy responds with Kim as if she is a miracle worker.
Kim is skilled at what she does and is patient and devoted to her work. I am so fortunate to have her in Xion's life. Kim knows all the ins and outs on doggy behaviors as well as other techniques that can be used when stuck at home not knowing what to do with my dog. Being able to return the following week and discuss what happened and having such an educated response is more than soothing! She also is the owner of “La Bella Pooch” a dog boutique that is filled with products that are organic and natural. I will continue to refer Kim to my friends or whoever has a dog in need of dog training. Kim is not only a dog trainer but its like she has became part of the family! This down to earth environment allows individuals like myself to feel confident in their dogs' training. For a first time pet owner, I do not feel alone or even nervous anymore! Her work speaks for itself as other dog owners would come to stop by and ask her a question or two. Her response to their questions just seals the deal!
Confident K9 Education, is the best I have found!!! And, when I get another pup.... I will definitely without a doubt enroll them with Kim again.

One of the most amazing experiences yet! I am a first time pet owner and had no experience with dogs before but my experience at Confident K9 Education has been the most profound. My little guy Nino has learned so many obedience commands in such a short amount of time!
Not only does he understand the basic training lessons but, I am also given lessons like knowing the best way to speak to my dog, different tactics to use to prevent bad habits and also great nutritional facts as far as the best food for my dog at his different levels of growth.
Bringing my Nino to Confident K9 Education has been such an invaluable experience and I would certainly recommend Kimberly Dillon again and again!!!!
Thanks So Much,
Kim

I have personally recommended Kimberly Dillon and Confident K9 Education to my clients for the past five years. I see a tremendous difference in the dogs coming into our practice after they graduate from Kim's Program. Kim always introduces new techniques and practices with nothing less than a professional demeanor.
In my experience, Kim has a gentility about her that evokes a certain calming presence which envelops both owner and training student. Her skills, along with her diligent work ethic, most definitely show in the results I have seen with some of the most challenging cases I have referred to her. It is my professional opinion that Confident K9 Education will not only benefit the dog, but will also form a long lasting bond with Kim and their owners. I entrust Kim with the care of my patients and most recently my own two dogs and could not be happier with her services.

On behalf of The Brooklyn Cyclones, I would like to thank Certified Dog Trainer, Kimberly Dillon, of Confident K9 Education for working with our mascot, Maverick the Wonder Dog. Maverick was a typical rowdy puppy when he joined our staff at the age of 6 weeks. After an initial consultation, Kimberly starting working with Maverick when he was 16 weeks old. Immediately, there was a change in his behavior. Although he still exhibited the personality of a puppy, he quickly learned to be more focused and listen to commands. This helped put me in control, and built the foundation of a solid relationship.
In just a short amount of time, Kimberly taught Maverick the basics of obedience, including sitting, staying, lying down, and competition heel. For most dogs, this is all they need to be happy, controlled house pets (and have happy owners). But for Maverick, obedience was just the beginning. Because he is the mascot, more is expected of him. Currently, Kimberly is teaching Maverick focus and grip, and motivational retrieve. These are the stepping stones to teaching Maverick the types of tricks he is expected to perform. At only 8 months, he is still growing both mentally and physically, and Kimberly understands that and doesn't push more on him than he is ready to comprehend. By the 2009 season, Maverick will be an integral part of the game day entertainment at the ballpark, thanks to Kimberly.
Having grown up with dogs, I thought I had a pretty good understanding as to what went into training a dog. I was wrong! After working with Kimberly, I realize there is so much more that goes into dog training than I thought. She brings a lifetime of dog training experience to the table, and has dealt with nearly every type of dog. She has taught me how to properly train my dog as well, so I can continue working with him even when she is not present. This is extremely important to me because although Maverick is the mascot of the Brooklyn Cyclones, he is also my pet. What we are learning from Kimberly now will not only help us with his on-field performance, but will also help us continue to have a happy relationship long after he has retired from baseball.
Thank you,

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this recommendation to share with you the positive training experiences I have had with Kimberly Dillon and Confident K9 Education.
My name is Annemarie and I have a 13-month-old Blue Nose Pit Bull named Blue. Blue received basic home training of sit, down and stay during the early months of his life and attended two basic obedience courses. Although home life was quiet and pleasant, he was still completely out of control while in contact with dogs or humans. Our active social life instituted many greetings in general and in all honesty, greetings were anticipated and dreaded. He was an out of control puppy with dog strength; dangerous for me, for Blue and for those who were around us during interactive times.
Blue and I began training with Kim in mid-October of 2006. By first lesson's end, Kim had addressed the pulling and out of control behavior. My confidence of continuing training and having immediate positive results hit an all time high. Since the Fall, Kim has worked with us to accomplish much: Blue watches me, comes when called regardless of the environment (dogs, people, children), heel is near-perfect, sit and down stays are consistent, and within weeks Blue was off leash in the backyard with supervision. These results are Kim's training and influence.
Kim is always readily available. She returns calls and e-mails promptly with effective information I can put to immediate use. During sessions, Kim addresses issues and concerns first, producing quick result, which allows us to cover new training as well. A prime example; eye drops that were necessary for care. In one session Kim provided direction on how to manage this care versus how I was managing the care. The result, Blue received the eye care quickly each morning and evening with little effort, peace on the home front once again.
Kim has helped me to understand Blue and the variety of testing she does so well. I have learned through Kim to effectively address inappropriate behavior early so it does not become habit. I am extremely pleased with Blue’s progress and although the problems of being well behaved in public were resolved many months ago, there is a wealth of knowledge Blue has yet to learn with Kim.
I highly recommend Kim as a trainer whether you have specific issues to address or general training. I have immense pride when family, friends and strangers rave about Blue's good behavior. I expect it, but they reinforce how well Kim has brought Blue along. The best part of training, it's a lot of fun! Should you select Kim as your trainer from Confident K9 Education, I am confident your dog will produce similar results.
Sincerely,
Annemarie Pinto
It is difficult to think like a dog. The biggest benefit we have gained by working with Kimberly has been to understand what our dogs need and expect from us, by learning how they think.
Kimberly not only taught us what we needed to do to train our dogs but she also explained the logic behind the actions with patience and many hands on demonstrations.
Many Thanks Again Kim,
Brian Taylor
As a veterinarian, having a well trained dog is paramount and I thankfully have many contacts thru which I could have accomplished this goal. I have taken private dog training lessons with Kimberly Dillon owner of Confident K9 Education and have been extremely satisfied with the results. My dog has responded wonderfully and I am confident that Kimberly’s ability is the main reason.
I researched her background before engaging and was pleased to discover that she had studied at the same school that my previous dog trainer for my last pet had attended. She has years of experience with which she has revised some of the techniques and improved upon a very solid foundational system.
Kim’s initial patience with me was unique and served as one of the bases that encouraged my belief in her program. Combined with a professional disposition, her understanding of the most effective approach towards my dog was an incredible foundation. The process was smooth and I always felt that both pet and owner were advancing on the same page.
I have recommended Kim to my friends and my husband and I will continue to participate in her private lessons.
Yours Sincerely,

Dear Kim,
I just wanted to thank you for the work you did with Jake. When I first called you, I was very concerned and upset because he was showing signs of possession aggression and dominance over my son and I wasn’t sure if we could keep him since we have young children and their friends visit often.
When I first spoke with you, I didn’t know what to do or how to handle this problem and I was very worried. Your confidence, knowledge, and game plan made me feel optimistic right away. Once you started working with Jake, it was clear that your training would make a difference and that it did! Within a couple of weeks, we could see the change in him. He listened to commands and understood his ranking in the family hierarchy almost immediately. We were able to take things away from him without him growling or snapping at us and the best part is that my son can play with him without being afraid any longer. Your patience and the way you worked with him and us, was amazing.
Thanks for all that you did for Jake and my family. We will always be grateful.
Best regards,
Melinda Micciola
